Privacy Policy
Last updated October 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Draycott Elders Corporation, a Delaware corporation doing business as Garden (“Garden,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, join our waitlist, or participate in our private alpha using the Garden app, hub, and sensors (the “Service”). The private alpha is invitation-only and available only to adults and households located in the United States. It is not a medical or emergency service.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Information you give us. When you join the waitlist we collect your contact details — a phone number or an email address, depending on the sign‑up form. If you complete our follow‑up form, we also collect your full name, any additional contact details you provide, the ZIP code of the person Garden is for, the type of phone you use, whether that person lives alone or has pets, and your reason for being interested in Garden.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, referring page, and how you interact with our site.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Some of our advertising partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to measure advertising. Our PostHog website analytics is configured in cookieless mode. See the sections below for more detail.
- Caregiver and account information. For alpha participants, we collect information such as name, phone number, sign‑in and account‑security information, caregiver relationship, settings, support communications, and acceptance of the Garden Alpha Terms.
- Household and Loved One information. Caregivers or Garden staff may provide a Loved One’s name or nickname, phone number, home address, time zone, and information needed to install and operate the Service.
- Sensor information. The hub and sensors collect information about activity in the home, including motion and ambient audio. During the alpha, this sensor data may be sent to Garden’s servers. Garden does not use cameras or collect video or biometric identifiers through the Service.
- Activity estimates and alerts. We generate estimates and inferences about presence, rooms, household activities, routines, changes, and events that may need a caregiver’s attention. We also keep alerts and information about how caregivers respond to them.
- App and device information. We collect app usage, device and push-notification identifiers, IP address, diagnostic logs, crash and error information, and coarse interaction events used to operate, secure, understand, and improve the Service.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Add you to the waitlist and notify you as Garden nears launch;
- Understand who Garden is for and decide where to launch first;
- Set up and manage caregiver accounts and households;
- Process sensor data, estimate household activities and routines, and provide information and automated alerts to caregivers;
- Operate, test, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Service, including its activity-detection models. Limited authorized Garden staff may review sensor data for debugging and accuracy improvement;
- Provide support and communicate with alpha participants;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and app;
- Measure and improve our marketing, including understanding which advertisements led people to sign up; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Website analytics
We use PostHog to understand aggregate website usage, including pages visited, referral and campaign sources, device and browser information, calls-to-action clicked, and completion of the waitlist and onboarding steps. PostHog is configured in cookieless mode for anonymous visits and does not set its own analytics cookies or persistent browser identifiers. If you join the waitlist, we generate a random candidate identifier, keep it for the duration of that browser tab’s session, and share it with PostHog so we can connect the website journey to the corresponding waitlist entry. We do not send PostHog the phone number, email address, name, ZIP code, or free-text answers you enter into our forms. This analytics data is hosted in PostHog’s United States region.
Product analytics and diagnostics
We use PostHog for limited product analytics, such as app sessions, onboarding progress, screens and features used, alert actions, notification actions, settings, and coarse error events. We also use Sentry for crash and error monitoring. We do not send raw audio or sensor events to these analytics and diagnostics tools.
Advertising and conversion tracking
We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and the Reddit Pixel to measure our advertising. Meta and Reddit receive page-visit and waitlist-conversion events, together with technical identifiers used to associate those events with ads. They may use this information for measurement, audience building, and personalized advertising under their own privacy policies. You can learn about and control this tracking through Meta’s Privacy Policy and Reddit’s Privacy Policy, as well as through the cookie and ad‑personalization settings in your browser and on those platforms.
How we share information
We share information as follows:
- With authorized caregivers. Caregivers in the same household can receive and view household information, activity estimates, alerts, and how other caregivers respond to them.
- With service providers that help us provide hosting and storage, databases, analytics, error monitoring, communications, push notifications, support, and website and waitlist operations;
- With advertising and analytics partners as described in “Advertising and conversion tracking” above;
- For legal reasons, such as to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Garden and others; and
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, financing, or acquisition, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy.
Where information is processed
Garden and its service providers process and store alpha information in the United States.
Your choices and rights
- Communications. You can ask us to stop contacting you, or to remove you from the waitlist, at any time — just contact us using the details below.
- Cookies and ad tracking. You can block or delete cookies in your browser and opt out of interest‑based advertising through your platform and browser settings.
- Access and deletion. Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Alpha participants may also ask for an export of their information. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity and authority to request information about a household or another person.
- Stopping household monitoring. A Loved One may withdraw permission by telling a caregiver. The caregiver must then contact Garden and stop using and remove the equipment.
Data retention
We generally retain alpha product and sensor information for up to one year after collection. We retain waitlist information for as long as needed to contact potential testers and support our business. We may retain account, consent, legal, security, and backup records for longer where reasonably necessary. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, subject to legal and operational requirements.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
The Service and private alpha are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly permit children to participate. If you believe we have collected a child’s personal information, please contact us.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
